Shipping is the easy part. Shipping something people can actually find, trust, and pay for takes a little more. Here is the list we run before every launch, cut down to the parts that earn their place.

Before you announce

Get the fundamentals right first. A great announcement cannot save a broken first impression.

  1. Every page renders on a phone as well as it does on a laptop.
  2. Checkout works end to end with a real test payment.
  3. The confirmation email actually arrives, and it does not land in spam.
  4. Your pricing is clear enough that nobody has to email to ask.

The day of

Keep the moving parts small. The fewer things that can break, the fewer things will.

  • Publish the announcement post first, then link to it everywhere else.
  • Watch your error logs for the first hour, not the first week.
  • Reply to the first handful of questions yourself, fast.

After the dust settles

Write down what broke and what surprised you while it is fresh. That note becomes the first draft of your next launch checklist.
